The first time I heard a Robert Johnson recording it was this song that really lured me in. His haunting, spacious delivery makes it feel as if he, and possibly that woman, are the only people in the world. It is indeed other-worldly and so down-to-earth at the same time. That tension is where the magic of this song lies.
